What should I look for in a contractor?

Answer:

Experience. An improperly installed geothermal system can and will be a nightmare for the homeowner. Be sure that the company you hire has lots of experience in the installation of ground source heat pumps.

At MJD Mechanical we focus solely on geothermal technology. We are NOT a company that installs 'once in a while' or 'on the side.' 95% of our work is geothermal heating and cooling related. Over the past four years we have installed 130+ systems into both residential and commercial operations. We have installed every type of loop system and are certified in PE fusion techniques.

With the exception of drilling/excavating, we do not sub-contract any of our work out to other companies. That means that we control and take responsibility for all work done on your project by our company. If your heating/cooling system is distributed via forced air then our sheet metal division will built and install a correctly fitted duct system. If it is distributed via hydronics (in-floor or radiant slab) we will install the pipes and built the manifold.

We will provide everything your system needs so when you want heat you just 'flick the switch.
